Ponhook lake is fairly large compared to other lakes in this area. It
has many coves and bays which makes it good for trolling. This lake has
brook trout, both white and yellow perch, smallmouth bass,and there is still
some atlanitic salmon swimming up river as this is part of the Medway river
system. It has water coming in from many sources, such as the Hibernia system,
Molega lake dumps in through the Wildcat river which comes the whole way
down from Pleasant River. Beautiful country.
