I have been associated with the salt water fishery from the time I was quite young. I have worked as a lobster fisherman, herring and ground fish fishery inshore. I enjoy taking people out around the harbor for a fishing \ sightseeing tour. I do this with the help of some of my commercial fishing connections. When we go out we normally catch some cod, small pollack, or mackerel, but you never know for sure what you might catch.
One other common fish is the sculpin. These fish are found all over the bottom from sand to rock and all places in between. Their main use is for lobster bait during the season.They can be just about any size or colour. Some even look almost tropical. Every recreational fisherman is allowed ten groundfish pre day except for halibut, of which we are allowed none. If there was an interest in going farther out to fish for shark, I'm sure I could arrange it. These trips need to be scheduled ahead of time due to the fact I'm working with other people to make these trips happen. I will clean any fish you wish to save and even do you a shore lunch when we return to the dock if desired.
